As the following video shows while it is easy and profitable selling on EBay you also have to be very careful what and from whom you buy. As this video shows (a small claims court case from Judge Judy) a non-suspecting EBay buyer purchased two phones from the defendant. Instead of receiving the phones, however, the defendant sent the buyer a picture of the phone! The defendant claims there was a small disclaimer listed on the auction post clearly stating the sale is for the photo only. Then the defendant went and gave the Buyer a bad review, thus giving her a bad rating.
While situations like this are not the "norm" they do happen. So make sure to be careful when purchasing items from EBay and do your research by looking at reviews and ratings on those selling on EBay. Watch out for people like this on EBay selling fake items!
